Bluemont dances need new venue
The season's first Bluemont old-time country dance is set for Saturday, Oct. 17, at a yet-to-be-determined site, said Peter Dunning, president of Bluemont.
The dances will be moved this year from the Purcellville Skating Rink, which is closed for renovations. Bluemont is currently seeking an alternate venue for the public dances, held each year since 1975.
The dances are held the third Saturday of each month from October through May.
