Car driven into lake in Ashburn
A 16-year-old Ashburn girl was airlifted to Inova Fairfax Hospital Nov. 22 after driving into a lake.Deputies were called to the lake near the intersection of Ashburn Village Boulevard and Cheltenham Circle at about 4:30 p.m., Loudoun County Sheriff's Office spokesman Kraig Troxell said.
Police said the SUV jumped the curb and went through a fence before landing in the lake.
By the time police got there, residents had pulled the girl to shore, Troxell said.
She is being treated at Inova Fairfax Hospital.
