South Riding burglary suspects arrested in Fairfax
Loudoun County sheriff's investigators are working to see if three people arrested in Fairfax County last week are responsible for a series of daytime home burglaries in South Riding.“We believe our cases are connected,” said Loudoun County Sheriff's Office spokesman Kraig Troxell.
Investigators believe up to four South Riding burglaries that targeted South Asian families could be related to a string of burglaries in Northern Virginia targeting that same group in which gold jewelry, electronics and cash were taken, Troxell said.
On Nov. 10, U.S. marshals spotted a vehicle in Fairfax County that had occupants matching the descriptions of the three people involved in several Fairfax County burglaries that are similar to those in South Riding.
An investigation led to charges against Francisco Gray, 39, of Nassau County, N.Y., and Dagoberto Soto-Ramirez, 27, and his wife, Melinda Soto, 33, both of Queens, N.Y.
Each is charged with four counts of burglary, four counts of grand larceny and one count of conspiracy to commit burglary, Troxell said.
They are held without bond an the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center, Troxell said.
The three are listed as suspects in three October burglaries in Loudoun that happened on Commons Square, Stinger Drive and Unicorn Drive. Investigators are also searching for links to a June burglary on Commons Square, Troxell said.
Since arrests have not been made in the South Riding burglaries, investigators are still seeking information.
Anyone with information is asked to call Investigator E. Wilk at 703-777-0475. Those who wish to remain anonymous can call Loudoun Crime Solvers at 703-777-1919.
Anyone with information that leads to an arrest and indictment could be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
