Dominion Trail teacher named Teacher of the Year

Sue Radloff, a teacher at Dominion Trail Elementary School in Ashburn has been named the Wal-Mart Teacher of the Year by the Sterling Wal-Mart.

Store Manager Terry Seymour presented Dominion Trail with a check for $1,000 and Radloff with a gift certificate for $100 to buy school supplies for Dominion Trail’s students.

Radloff was nominated for the award by a parent who cited Radloff’s work outside the classroom as the reason for the nomination. Radloff tutored an ill student on her own time outside of school and also took the student to movies and meals.

Seymour said several teacher nominations were selected for review by the store’s associates and Radloff’s was judged to be the most compelling.

This is the 11th year Radloff has taught at Dominion Trail.
