Woman shows up at former employer's house with gun

A 39-year-old Ashburn woman is in custody after she showed up at a former employer’s home with a gun.Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a residence in the 18500 block of Seminole Court in Leesburg around 10:30 a.m. May 31 for an incident where a woman showed up at her former boss's home.
A husband and wife and their daughter were inside the house. The daughter ran to a neighbor’s house where they called the police. The woman held the husband and wife at gunpoint for about 30 minutes.
Members of the Sheriff’s Office established a perimeter around the residence and made contact with the woman. The woman was eventually taken into custody and the gun was recovered. No one was injured in the incident.
The woman is currently being held on a temporary detention order at a local hospital pending a mental evaluation. The incident remains under investigation.
