Zoologist George Zug, former curator of herpetology at the National Museum of Natural History and co-author of "Snakes: Smithsonian Answer Book," discusses snake anatomy and biology and snake-human interactions. Plein aire painting. Watercolor artist Catherine Hillis is offering a class in plein aire painting at outdoor locations in May and June. Students will be taught how to compose a landscape and develop it into a painting. For all levels.
