Banneker celebrates 60th

Everyone who attended school, taught, cooked, served meals, mopped floors, stood in the playground, delivered the mail, led trips, volunteered at Banneker Elementary School in St. Louis is invited to the 60th Anniversary Celebration.

June 14 is the big day, from 1 to 5 p.m. at the school, 35231 Snake Hill Road, just off St. Louis Road/Route 611. Highlights include self-guided tours, memorabilia and the "Benjamin Banneker Musical" performed by current students in conjunction with the Wayside Theater.

Anyone planning to attend should R..SV.P. no later than June 6, at 703-771-6780.
