Youth doings

Play time at County: "Anything Goes" debuts May 15 at Loudoun County High school and continues May 16 and 17. All performances are at 7:30 p.m., and tickets are $7 at the door. The play, directed by County's award-wining John Wells, and staged by the theater department, brings to life a trans-Atlantic voyage form New York to England. Music and lyrics by Cole Porter include "Blow, Gabriel, Glow, "It's De-Lovely" and (what else?) "Anything Goes."

Poetry slam: the Young Voices Foundation is accepting submissions for the first Loudoun Poetry Slam, at Leesburg's Tally Ho Theatre, June 29 from 8 - 10 p.m. Poems should be suitable for a family audience and no longer than two pages (typed, one-and-a-half spaced). There is a $5 entrance fee for students who are selected, and a $10 fee for adults who are accepted.

Send poems, with contact information, to Bobbi.Carducci@youngvoicesfoundation.org
