Stone Bridge girls advance to Liberty lacrosse final

Stone Bridge handily defeated Madison, 21-7, in the Liberty District girls' lacrosse tournament semifinals May 7 at Langley High School to move into the championship game.

Lauren Giusti netted seven goals and dished out four assists, while Meghan DeMartino and Amy Rollins each scored five goals. DeMartino also had six assists.

Alyssa Tompkins, Rachael Pascale and Kristen Pascale also scored for the Bulldogs, and goalie Michelle Leon made 11 saves.

Stone Bridge has already secured a Northern Region first round game at home May 13 as the Liberty District regular season champion.

The Bulldogs will play Woodson in the Liberty District tournament championship game May 9 at Madison High School. Game begins at 6 p.m.
