Route 7/City Center

Pursuit/DUI: A deputy observed a vehicle driving erratically in the area of Ridgetop Circle and Loudoun Tech Boulevard. The vehicle then turned eastbound into the westbound lanes of Route 7. The deputy initiated their emergency equipment and drove parallel with the suspect vehicle to alert oncoming traffic. A second deputy placed their patrol vehicle ahead of the suspect and initiated their emergency equipment. The suspect vehicle made a u-turn and returned heading east in the eastbound lanes of Route 7. The vehicle then accelerated when as deputies continued to conduct a traffic stop. The driver then turned onto Loudoun Tech Boulevard where the vehicle drove over a curb and into a grass area. Wualter Arias-Ochoa, 21, of Herndon was charged with DUI, refusal, and felony eluding. He was released by a Loudoun Magistrate on a Personal Recognizance bond.

Robbery/Felony Assault: Two teenagers say they were jogging in the area when they were approached by a group of teenagers. The group followed the two teens to the area of Stone Springs Boulevard. The group started throwing items and using racial slurs. One of the teens was assaulted. A wallet and MP3 player were taken. The victim was taken to the Lansdowne Campus of INOVA Loudoun hospital where he was treated for injuries sustained in the assault. The suspects were only described as Black males. The incident is under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division.

| Incident: | Two Loudoun County men were arrested and charged with Armed Robbery last night following an incident that occurred at a residence in the 800 block of Edwards Ferry Road. At approximately 9:22 PM on March 20, 2008, the victim, a 38 year old Leesburg resident reported that someone knocked on her door. When she answered the door, she stated that two men forced their way into the residence. One of the men was armed with a large knife and grabbed the victim and held her while the other man began to search her residence. According to the victim the suspects took various prescription medications and then left the residence. The victim called 911 and watched the suspects as they drove away at a high rate of speed in a Sport Utility Vehicle. The victim was not injured during the event. An officer on patrol at the time that was not responding to the robbery call, observed a vehicle exit The Fields Apartments by driving through the grass, over a curb and across a sidewalk onto Plaza Street. A traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle on the area of the Shell Gas Station at 602 East Market Street. Further investigation revealed that the two occupants of the vehicle were the suspects that had just committed the Robbery. Medications belonging to the victim and the knife that was used in the robbery were recovered during the traffic stop. As a result of the investigation, Ian B. Guthrie, 18, of Leesburg and Adam G. Kimball, 20, of Ashburn, Virginia were arrested and charged with Armed Robbery. Both men were ordered held in the Adult Detention Center without bond pending arraignment. | ||
