Nana Darko, a recent Heritage High School graduate, scored the final goal in the East squad's 3-0 win against the West in the Virginia High School Coaches' Association All-Star boys' soccer game July 2 at Christopher Newport University.
Darko was joined by Pride teammate Amadu Bungaru in the game. Stone Bridge High School featured three players in the game, including West Most Valuable Player Eric Skogerboe. Ronnie Shaban and Ryan Sullivan also represented the Bulldogs.
Petkovich named MVP
Loudoun County High School recent graduate Morgan Petkovich was selected as the Most Valuable Player for the East team after delivering 14 kills in a 25-21, 25-19, 22-25 and 25-18 victory over the West in the Virginia High School Coaches Association All-Star volleyball game July 2. The game was at Christopher Newport University.
Petkovich was joined on the East squad by Raider teammate Rebecca Dancy and coach Jenica Matthias. The trio helped Loudoun County capture the 2007 Virginia AA volleyball championship.

Stone Bridge High School in Ashburn has the following coaching openings for the 2008-09 school year -- assistant cross country, head softball, head and assistant varsity girls' soccer, head boys' tennis, assistant and JV wrestling.

State softball tourney
The Virginia Little League Girls Softball State Championship is coming to Loudoun County in July 2009, according to LaMott Smith, district administrator of District 16, State of Virginia Little League.
“Loudoun County has been asked by the State Little League organization to host the 2009 Majors tournament [11- and 12-year-old players],” Smith said. “With the advent of our new softball league, Loudoun Girls Little League Softball, we informed the state that we would be thrilled to host the event and showcase both Loudoun County and our new league.”
The Loudoun Girls Little League Softball program will automatically place a team at the state tournament as the host league.
Summer camps
