Telecommunication towers to dominate board hearings
The Loudoun County Board of Supervisors will hear public comment Jan. 8 on six applications to install cell phone and wireless communications towers in western Loudoun.Five of the applications were submitted by Arlington's Community Wireless Structures. If approved, two of its towers -- one in Taylorstown and the other in Round Hill --would reach 150 feet.
The installation of cell phone and wireless communications towers in western Loudoun have often come with much public outcry.
Also on Tuesday, public hearings will take place on a future health-care facility in Dulles South, a sheriff's substation in Sterling and a zoning change to allow farmers markets in more parts of the county.
The hearings will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the board room of the Loudoun County Government, 1 Harrison St. S.E., Leesburg.
