Meadowkirk update: Meadowkirk, Middleburg's new retreat, meeting and camp ministry, is completed and anxious for you to come visit and see the beauty of its location and the numerous offerings available. This is a great new addition to our area to have conferences and retreats. You can drop by for a reception for area businesses and nonprofits at the center on Sept. 16 beginning at 4:30 p.m. There will be light refreshments and door prizes. You may RSVP by calling 540-687-5565 or emailing to barb@meadowkirk.org.

Swim night: Family swim night is Aug. 22 beginning at 6 p.m. at the Middleburg Community Center. There will be pizza, music and pool games at no fee. For more details, call 540-687-6373.

Farmers market: Don't forget to stop by the farmers market on Saturday morning. They open at 8 a.m. and go until noon. They are guaranteed to have fresh fruit and vegetables and beautiful flowers for your weekend entertaining.

Boo Snider: Boo Snider will be performing some of his original songs along with all of your favorites from the '50s to the '70s at Swedenburg Winery on Sunday, Aug. 31. He will start at 2 p.m. and play until around 5 p.m. Stop by and enjoy your favorite wine while enjoying the countryside.
