Body of Sterling man found in Potomac River

The body of a 48-year-old Sterling man was found in the Potomac River Aug. 12, according to Montgomery County (Md.) Police.

The Medical Examiner's Office in Baltimore said that Paul Richard Woods Jr. died from drowning.

Kayakers spotted his body at about 6:27 p.m. Aug. 12 in the river along Great Falls Park, Md., and called authorities. Montgomery County Fire/Rescue Service personnel recovered the body from the water.

Police said there is no evidence of foul play.
