Landers swims to Beantown

Stone Bridge's Shannon Landers signed a national letter of intent April 19 to become a scholarship member of the Boston College Eagles' swim team.

Landers becomes the third Bulldog swimmer to sign with a Division I program this year. Suzanne Schwee will swim for the University of Alabama, while Emily Winland is Virginia Tech-bound.

She's improved as much anyone I've ever had,” commented Stone Bridge coach Jennifer House.

The eighth-year school has produced more scholarship athletes from the current senior class than ever before, according to athletic director Dave Hembach.
