For He is our peace, who hath made both one and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us [Ephesians 2:14]

Notes from the Holy Land and in collaboration with Kehilat Sar Shalom (http://kehilatsarshalom.org/) will be hosting the first Messianic Jewish Conference in the metropolitan area to be held on the premises of Faith Bible Church in Sterling on December 4th and 5th.

Purpose

The purpose of the first Messianic Jewish Conference is to proclaim that God in his mercy has designed this time, remembering that we are people of God grafted in the cultivated olive tree (Israel), and in this century as a gentile people, we are to reach our conclusion. But this is impossible, unless we recognize that the lifeblood that sustains our branches is Israel, and that who maintains its roots is called Jesus the Carpenter, the Teacher, the Redeemer.

Objective

Proclaiming that God in His sovereignty has broken the walls that divided Jews from Gentiles, through the cross, making two bodies one body. Remember that the blessing comes from the Jews and in gratitude we should pray for "the peace of “Jerusalem.” We pray and fast that we share God's will in Jesus Christ.

Blowing of the Shofar

There will be pastors attending from the entire metropolitan area to include Maryland, Washington DC and Virginia.

Blowing of Horns

In ancient times, a Shofar (ram’s horn) was blown to gather the people of God for an assembly. In like manner, the Shofar is blown at the beginning of the service to let everyone know to gather in the sanctuary for worship. Actually, the ram’s horn was used for a number of things in biblical times, so you may hear it blown at other times during the service as a signal to welcome the Messiah into our presence, or a call to battle, or just as a way to make a joyful noise unto the Lord. Happy are the people who hear the sound of the Shofar of the Lord!

Through his music, Settel International Ministries, both Gentiles and Jews can touch the heart of God and feel the arms of Messiah Yeshua surround them.

The conference will conclude with the priestly blessing.

Notes from the Holy Land

According to Rosario Gamboa, a resident of Reston and a member of the Kehilat Sar Shalom Congregation, she said "Notes from the Holy Land is a weekly radio program and was born in the heart of God about 6 months ago. The program’s purpose is to bring knowledge of the chosen people of the house of Israel and to awaken in the hearts of all believers the need to search the scriptures and see the relationship that the Christian Church has with the nation of Israel. As written on the bible in the Book of Genesis 12:3, ‘bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you, and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.’ This is a principle of the blessing so that our land can be healed, and is why this radio program promotes what the Lord tells us that all things will be restored as the principle and I firmly believe that these are the times of prophetic fulfillment in regards to the restoration not only to the Church of the Lord but the restoration to the people of Israel. The Bible tells us that, ‘For He himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of division between us’ (Ephesians 2:14).”

Notes from the Holy Land is broadcast on Sundays from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Radio Poder 1030 AM.

In a recent phone conversation, Rosario Gambo told me she was praying one night, and the Lord through His Holy Spirit strongly placed the message of Ephesians 2:14 in her heart. When the Holy Spirit spoke to Rosario, it shook her whole being. The Holy Spirit told Rosario about those two peoples who are in His heart and how they have to reach unity because they are part of prophetic fulfillment to the end times. Rosario said, “The Holy Spirit threw me the challenge of being part of that breakup of coldness and indifference of the two peoples, and at that moment was born in me the idea of making the Conference of Messianic Jews in order that it may lead to unity among Jews and Gentiles. I told my husband what had happened that morning and together we took the responsibility to communicate to our Rabbi Neal Surasky and his wife Kim Surasky what God had laid on my heart. At that time Rabbi Neal gave us his blessing and unconditional support. Rabbi Neal and Kim both received the idea with great joy on their spirit because they too want to reveal to the people through Messianic and the Gentile the love for the Jewish people. From that moment on God began to open doors for the realization of these conferences to be held on December 4 and 5.”
